“A Saviour is Present” is an experimental performance-installation created and performed by the “creaCtor”, Christian Gade Bjerrum. It’s a 60 hour long ceremonial process that begins Easter Friday at 11am and ends Easter Sunday at 6pm.

“A Saviour is Present” is both a personal process for the performer and an invitation for you to participate and experience a series of ceremonial rituals rooted in ancient Mayan Indian traditions. It’s an elaboration and investigation of the themes of salvation, resurrection, ancient rituals, ego, divinity and present condition.  The symbolic process of “ego-confrontation”, and about finding out what is needed “to let go off”/”to be save from” in order to set yourself free and explore the divine being you are and ultimately come to an understanding of the potential you have to be your own saviour (if needed), is the vision of this experimental performance.

The performance is divided into 3 acts spread over 3 days:

1. THE OFFERING

2. THE TRANSITION

3. THE RESURRECTION

1st act: THE OFFERING.

(Friday the 3rd of April)

From 11am to 11pm and from 11pm to 8am (Sat. morning)

Friday is sub-divided into 3 different themes spread over a time period of 21 hours.

“Circle of Foxes” (11am – 6pm)

Christian will share his life’s story in intervals of 15 minutes, 2 minutes break, 15 min. storytelling, 2 min. break etc. The constant repetition of his story is a deeper investigation of Christian’s consciousness around “who am I”,  “what is holding me back to understand, feel and be a divine being”. We call this ceremony “Circle of Foxes”.

Throughout the day the audience is invited to look into their own life’s story and thereby become aware of what is needed to let go off for themselves.

“The Death Ritual”

7pm – 11pm –

“What am I willing to give up as an offering to protect my people and for what I believe in? My life?”

This is the question Christian asks himself and will answer before going through a symbolic, ceremonial, death ritual that ultimately is meant as an offering to set a people free of guilt, shame and fear.

The audience is also invited to participate in this ceremony.

“The Dream Ceremony”

11pm – 08am (Sat. morning)

A ceremony for both Christian and the audience. We sleep in the same room and dream together about what we wish to become and manifest when we wake up.

There will be music to accompany the dreaming process.

2nd act: THE TRANSITION

(Saturday the 4th of April)

11am – 11pm (open for public)

Christian is located in the transparent room in Dome of Visions for 24 hours. Naked, no food, no water, just him in a transparent state of mind, state of being.

Dome of Visions is open for everybody to visit and observe his process.

11pm – 11am (closed for public)

Christian will stay in Dome of Visions all night by himself. Still in process.

3rd act: THE RESURRECTION

(Sunday)11am – 6pm

Inspired by the performing artist Marina Abramovic and her performance-installation “The Artist is Present” we invite the audience into Dome of Visions for them to meet and look into the eyes of the new resurrected version of Christian Gade Bjerrum – a saviour is present.

——

We don’t cell tickets for this performance but to enter Dome of Visions and participate you’ll be invited to donate money to charity. What organization we wish to support will be announced soon.

We look forward to meet you and for you to meet yourself.
